Jon Voight: "Obama Creating A Civil War"

There’s always one celebrity who publicly bucks Hollywood’s liberal trend. Once it was John Wayne; in the age of Obama it is Jon Voight, whose early politics were as counter-cultural as the films that made him famous.

The star of ground-breaking work such as Midnight Cowboy and Deliverance now feels very differently about his country, and in particular the current president.

As he told Bill O’Reilly: “We're facing people who want to destroy America, who want to destroy all democracy. And in this country, I'm really quite frightened, Bill, at what has happened to our great nation. There’s a real question at stake now. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our own country?”

Having said that criticism of George W Bush “makes my heart heavy”, he controversially promised to help “bring an end to this false prophet Obama”. The Huffington Post was quick to speculate Voight’s use of this rhetoric at a June 2009 Republican fundraiser as espousing the president’s assassination.

There are other Republican-leaners and Obama sceptics in Tinseltown, such as Kelsey Grammer, Dennis Hopper and James Woods, but none have gone out on a limb like Voight. Apparently his views have rubbed off somewhat on daughter Angelina Jolie, who is reportedly disillusioned by Obama as well, sparking friction with her other half, Brad Pitt.

Jon is absolutely right, Obama would destroy America if it served his agenda. In the name of unity divisive language is spewed out of his mouth continuously.

Like "lying wonders" mentioned in the Bible, this man does it with impunity. If you agree with him then you are wonderful and a friend but if you disagree on anything then you are the hate monger or right wing extremist.

You could say, "my way or the highway" while saying "peace and tolerance"(especially for terrorists and Muslem extremists).
