The Three- Eyed Monster

A home invader's worst nightmare.

If you own a gun, you will appreciate this. If not, you should get one and learn how to use it.

Shooting Advice:

Cops carry guns to protect themselves, not to protect you.

Never let someone or thing that threatens you get inside arm's length and never say "I've got a gun".

If you feel you need to use deadly force for heaven's sake let the first sound they hear be the safety clicking off, and they shouldn't have time to hear anything after that if you are doing your job.

The average response time of a 911 call is over 23 minutes.

The response time of a .44 magnum is 1400 feet per second.

Clint Smith, Director of Thunder Ranch, is a drill instructor. (Thunder Ranch is a firearms training facility in Arizona .) Here are a few of his observations on tactics, firearms, self-defense and life as we know it in the civilized world.

1. "The most important rule in a gunfight is: Always win - and cheat if necessary."

2. "Don't forget, incoming fire has the right of way."

3. "Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. You may get killed with your own gun, but he'll have to beat you to death with it, ‘cause it's going to be empty."

4. "If you're not shooting', you should be loading'. If you're not loading', you should be moving', if you're not moving', someone's going to cut your head off and put it on a stick."

5. "When you reload in low light encounters, don't put your flashlight in your back pocket. If you light yourself up, you'll look like an angel or the tooth fairy... and you're going to be one of 'em pretty soon."

6. "Do something. It may be wrong, but do something."

7. "Shoot what's available, as long as it's available, until something else becomes available."

8. "If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. That's ridiculous. If you have a gun, what in the hell do you have to be paranoid for?"

9. "Don't shoot fast, unless you also shoot good."

10. "You can say 'stop' or 'alto' or use any other word you think will work, but I've found that a large bore muzzle pointed at someone's head is pretty much the universal language."

11. "You have the rest of your life to solve your problems. How long you live depends on how well you do it."

12. "You cannot save the planet, but you may be able to save yourself and your family."

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of EPIC FAIL!

U.S. Senate | March 20, 2006 | B. Hussein Obama

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies...

Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "the buck stops here." Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

- Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL), March 20, 2006

Some events in history seem almost inevitable.

The coming Great Sinking of The American Economy is one of them.

Yes, the Titanic has once again hit the iceberg and is slowly sinking into the cold water while the passengers in First Class continue to dance as the band plays on and on...Whereas, the people in third class yell at the top of their lungs to them, "Do SOMETHING up top, ANYTHING, the ship is sinking and our shoes are already wet."

A great American Apocalypse is upon us.

Insane government spending, massive debts, out-of-control money printing, and almost unimaginable political cowardice are about to exact a heavy toll from each of us.

And now, as these massive debts begin to implode, and as the U.S. dollar plunges in value worldwide, everything in your life is set to change —radically. Millions of Americans are about to lose their income, their savings, their buying power, their homes.

Birthdays, Peaceful Protests and Code Pink Loonies

From the Tunnel Wall
"As I went to pick up my sign, I noticed Medea Benjamin and her Code pink Cronies approaching Ambassador Bolton. This couldn’t be good I thought to myself. She introduced herself and it wasn’t long before she started her rant."

"They had their bullhorn with them and they started ranting about Ambassador Bolton being a war criminal. Criminal … These are the same despots who gave $600,000.00 to the terrorists in Fallujah, and they have the audacity to accuse Bolton of a crime.....

"I went up to him and put the two signs I had between Bolton and the Code Pink loonies, sheltering him from these vile and despicable individuals. Soon Bev Perlson from the Band of Mothers, and Chad Longel a longtime supporter and Army Vet did the same protecting Bolton from the antics of these attention seeking hippies who hate our military."

This is the hour of paranoia. Come mornings, gunmen slip through curtains of jungle foliage lining the roadside. They kill cops. Army officers. Teachers traveling to class. Kids sometimes. To stoke maximum horror, they decapitate Buddhist monks with machetes.

Lost Republic

Leader of Seal Team Six basks in his new found glory

I don't mean to burst anyone's hope bubble, noooh. But the cold hard reality is ... the Republic may already be lost? Extremely unpleasant that be. As the IslamoCommie Traitor Buraq Hussein (along with his pals in the junta), destroys America. In the atomic, right before our very eyes [tho' completely unnoticed ... under John Boehner's nose (I think I'll have the lobster)]. Via the economy, domestic policy, national security, and with our spankin' new physical alliance ... with al-Qaeda in North Africa (file that under sh*t ya just can't make up). Far too many others are inured to the crushing round the clock devastation underway.

But beyond the horror we see (with our own eyes). Is the loss of the idea. This idea. This idea most wondrous. America.

All the longing ... for days gone by (when we didn't have a steaming pile of treason occupying the oval office). Cannot stem the warm sticky red humor, flowing out from the stab wound in Lady Liberty's back. Cannot stop the unfolding insanity. For in the minds of too many, America the Idea not only no longer exists. In the generation upon, it never even existed, at all. In the macro ... we can delineate, we can demarcate. Call out, and point to the approaching horde, now marching in lockstep [around the globe (to an azan drumbeat)].

But in the micro, the sub-atomic. The intangible, the unseen. The battle may already be over. No thoughts to barter, no facets to analyze (or to discuss). No solutions to proffer. (For they have) no concept of what is being lost, what is being destroyed. To them it has no value or worth ... never even existed/won't be missed/is already forgotten (OMG ... Ashton is replacing Charlie!).

The path upon which this nation now travels, leads to a place few dare imagine. Not only will things get worse (much). The possibility they will never return/improve, cannot be ignored. How far down this country goes? How severe is the hemorrhaging? At some point, Code Blue/Stat will be heard over the great P.A. in the sky. And I know not, if in that instance, she will survive?

Give up? Too many have already. They of false face, outwardly erect [even walking among us (I have seen them)]. But inwardly, they have already dropped to one knee. Already measured/mapped their existential spot, living under the caliphate. Surrendered. Extend to these cowards, the same trust you would, the heathen goat foogers ... now battering the gate.

In this moment, firmly strapped
into the crucible (as the temperature rises). Will one last blade be forged? One last implement ... that we may smite evil. Only time will reveal. Tick tock ... tick tock. By September we will know.

Maybe it will take an induced coma to save America? With hoped for revival ... at some future date. I know not. She is heavily sedated now, oxygen mask ... I.V.. Her breathing labored, her skin pale, ghostly. Her eyes grey, cloudy, and bleak. And I am afraid.

Man up. Woman up. The day is here (not next week, not next year). Cry not for what was. Or for what is now. Or for what ghastly horror may yet be ... what most definitely will be. Eyes forward, stand tall. That you may look evil in the eye ... and smile. Hellooo filth! And without wincing ... parry. Without gasp ... thrust.

Stand and deliver America.

Less than a year ago he was held up as a “peacemaker” by the left, now he’s admitted to the Army that he planned to carry out a second Fort Hood jihad attack. That’s some serious assploding irony.

Posted on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 1:00:37 PM by Jim Robinson

My FRiends, it's becoming more and more obvious every day that Obama and the Democrats are out to purposely destroy America. They're using crisis mode to piece by piece dismantle the constitution. First it was the too big to fail crisis that led to the unconstitutional TARP program, the feds unconstitutionally taking over private sector corporations, the unconstitutional bailouts and the unconstitutional trillion dollar porkulus package. Follow that with the unconstitutional federal takeover of our healthcare system and his unconstitutional bypass of the senate's advice and consent function regarding presidential appointments (czars). Then it was thumbing his nose at the congress by conducting and continuing war in Libya without congressional approval.

Now, his multi-trillion dollar big spending programs have led to a so-called "debt crisis." It's not a debt crisis, it's a spending crisis. And it's now clear that the president has no intention of working with the congress to decrease spending or use a constitutional solution to the debt. He has avoided stating any plan to the American people because he has no valid constitutional plan. Instead, he plans on invoking (twisting) the 14th amendment by executive order to raise the debt limit by presidential decree. He plans to completely ignore the constitution and bypass the U.S. Congress!

This would be the constitutional crisis of the century. We ain't seen nothing yet. This would make Nixon look like a Boy Scout and the constitutional crisis of the 70's a church picnic. If Obama does this, political blood will flow in the streets. Impeached or not, this will be political suicide for Obama and the democrats. Bring it on!!

And still, the Republicans are falling all over each other trying to come up with a bipartisan plan to solve the "debt crisis" when all they really need to do is pass a budget that gets spending under control. We don't need higher taxes, we don't need an increase in the debt limit, we don't need a balanced budget amendment and we don't need wimpy spending cuts that are scheduled to take place some time in the future. And we sure as hell don't need to bend over for the democrats. The Republicans control the House and the House controls the spending, the taxes, the deficit and the debt.

So, control it, already! Hold the line! Reinforcements are coming in 2012! Do not retreat, do not surrender, do not cave, do not make a deal with the devil. Congressional deadlock would be far better than capitulation or continuing down the current bankruptcy path. Worst case, no debt limit increase would force spending cuts.

In our current crisis, government is not the solution; government is the problem. --RR

This is no time for the Republicans to lose faith in conservative principle or go wobbly. Please call or write your congressional reps and urge them to hold the line!!

And if Obama dares trying to rule by executive order, let the games begin!!

God bless America.

Obama Seems To Be Taking His Defeat In The 2012 Election Rather Well

By J.R. Dunn

Make no mistake: that's what happened over the past weekend. We have been through a mercilessly condensed version of a presidential campaign, lasting only hours, in which Barack Obama ran against his own image, demonstrated himself unworthy of office, and threw away any chance of victory in next year's contest.

To start with, we have his failure to deal with the budget in due time, thus allowing the crisis to build up in the first place. Then we have his walking out of the negotiations after he himself tried to pull a fast one (adding $500 billion -- that's a half-trillion, folks -- in taxes at the last minute). The threats against grandma's checks. His petulant and adolescent Friday press conference. His prolonged weekend sulk, leaving the separate houses of Congress to work their way through the crisis with no input from the White House whatsoever. His wordless rejection of a better deal than he had coming. The attempt to crash the Asian markets by personal decree. And finally the speech which was intended to rally the country behind his vision but wound up as a prolonged plea for Congress and the Tea Parties to stop picking on him.

How can this be described as anything else but a complete dereliction of his duty as chief executive of this country? Put aside all else that has occurred over the past two years; last weekend we saw the utter disintegration of a president. It cannot be overlooked, and it will not be forgotten.

What Obama wanted was a personal triumph, a vindication of his status as the American Augustus. A clear road to 2012 with no more budgetary debates and crises. The utter humiliation of the GOP, which would be forced to swallow new taxes, leaving them with one less issue next year. An under-the-table legitimization of his "policies" (I think that's the word I'm groping for), which could then be touted as successes despite the damage they have left behind. The reestablishment of Barack Obama as a political demigod. And before we overlook it, another few hundred billion to toss to his political allies.

What has he got? He's got as clear a defeat as any president has ever suffered. A party in total disarray. A set of embarrassed and angry subordinates. An economic policy that's going down for the third time. A GOP heading into 2012 with a momentum comparable to that of Patton tearing into the Palatinate. And one final thing: the long-overdue public revelation of a fatally flawed and inadequate personality.

This is where voting "present" brings you at last. He's tried this before, on the occasion of the September 15 financial crash, right in the middle of the 2008 campaign. It will be recalled that John McCain put his campaign on hold and headed for Washington to do what was necessary. Whatever might be thought of McCain, and however good or poor his reasons at the time, it was the act of a man to whom duty was more important than career. And Obama? Well, Obama always comes first, doesn't he? He just turned his back and kept on going. He knew he couldn't lose, whichever way things broke.

He obviously thought the same thing now. But times have changed. People have seen Barack Obama, have taken in his oddities, his narcissism, his ignorance, his lack of quality. They are unwilling to cut him any more slack. They know what a president looks like, good or bad, popular or not, and they no longer see a president in Barack Obama. Is it possible to imagine Reagan, FDR, Truman, or either of the Bushes pulling the kind of tricks that Obama has in recent days?

A president does certain things and acts in certain ways. He is the modern extension, the most advanced version, of the headman, the tribal chief, and much of his role is played on the most primitive of levels. He must take the punishment the gods mete out and make whatever sacrifices they demand on behalf of his people. Consider FDR rolling unceasingly toward his death with the destruction of the Axis the sole thought in his mind. Consider Eisenhower overcoming heart attacks (in an era where heart attacks were far more deadly than today) in order to continue serving. Consider Reagan smiling with an assassin's bullet in his chest. Consider George W. Bush prevailing in the face of hatred, invective, and threats that would have broken most other men. And then reverse the question: can anyone picture Barack Obama doing the same?

His hollowness can no longer be ignored. It has become his major feature. The Obama persona has always been pure mythology, with next to nothing holding it together. It has been deteriorating for some time, and that process reached a critical point this week. Now it will accelerate, with the pieces falling off in ever-larger chunks. He has lost the respect of his opponents. He is losing the respect of his own party. Official Washington will follow. The country as a whole will grow angry with the anger of the betrayed. All that will remain will be the true believers. A new myth will take shape: that of Obama the victim, hero of the people and onetime messiah, ambushed and pulled down by vicious and dishonorable enemies. If it weren't for Boehner, prince of evil... If it weren't for the GOP... If it weren't for the Koch brothers and all their cash...

That new myth will be solid, irrefutable, and well-made. It will have to be. If the record is any indication, it's the only thing they will have for quite some time to come.

BRYANT: I got a permit to open up an underground coal mine that would probably employ 125 to 150 people. They’d be paid wages from 50 to $150,000 a year. We would consume probably 50 to $60 million worth of consumables a year which would put more men to work. And my only idea today is go home. What’s the use? I see these guys, I see them with tears in their eyes looking for work. And there’s too much opposition to these guys making a living, that I feel like that, you know, there’s no need in me putting any effort to provide work. So as I stood against the wall here today basically what I’ve decided is not to open the mine. And so I’m just quitting. Thank you.

And so it begins ...

Nightime, November 9, 1938 ... Berlin. Now, now I know exactly what it was like. Exactly. To be in that moment singular. And hear the sound ... the sound of breaking glass. Last night, at six forty in the evening. Diane Sawyer, and the Arab Broadcasting Company arrived at my home unanounced. Armed with sticks ... armed with bricks, and torches and pitchforks.

At first I did not believe my eyes. Did not believe my ears (wait a freakin' minute ... those are MY windows!). When during a segment of the ABC World News, devoted to all things Breivik. (An off camera) voice over/commenter, mentioned Breivik and one Spencer (Robert). In one breath. The same breath. Asking of noone in particular (as filthy, stanknasty libturds often do), was it "right wing websites" that are the (direct) cause of Breivik's actions?

ABC not mentioning oh ... say ... Zip's site, noooh (exploded libturd cranium cleanup, on aisle three). But, showing a screen capture of (da Yid) Spencer's site, Jihad Watch. Spencer, firmly in the pantheon of (ever so) mild mannered, highly reasoned thinkers [like (da Yid) Daniel Pipes before him, also now being conflated with Breivik]. Brevik didn't slaughter nearly a hundred innocents, in frightfully chilling blood so cold. No.

It was the Jews.

Obama Is In Over His Head ... Again!
Debt Default = Impeachment of Obama?

J. D. Longstreet—7/26/11

A few days ago my friend and fellow blogger Alan Caruba suggested the possible impeachment of President Obama. Now the "I" word is being floated around the halls of Congress and on the social networks of the Internet. Don't expect to hear it anytime soon in the mainstream media, though.

Earlier this week, Republican Congressman Steve King of Iowa tweeted the following: "STOP talking about default. The 1st dime of each $1 of revenue services debt. Obama would be impeached if he blocked debt payments. C C & B!"

Tim Scott, Republican Congressman from my home state of South Carolina, has made it clear that he believes should Obama attempt to raise the debt ceiling without congressional approval it would make him (Obama) subject to impeachment.

What this signifies, I believe, is the utter frustration of a nation, which is, for all intents and purposes, without leadership.

We have a President, dear reader, in over his head. It is clear that Obama is out of his depth. Somehow he has managed to splash from the shallow end into the deep end -- and he is foundering.

What we are seeing from the Oval Office today is exactly what we warned of before the election. We told you then Obama was the least qualified candidate to be President we had ever seen in our lifetime.

But he can talk! Heck, Yeah! Why, he can "bloviate" with the best of 'em!

Look. Just because one can string words and phrases together and deliver them in an awe inspiring, even a motivational and inspirational manner, does not mean one is a leader. No! It means he is an orator! Nothing more. Often we find great leaders who are terrible public speakers.

The ability to deliver a rousing speech does not signify the speaker is a great intellect, either. It is a common mistake to believe that every great orator is an uncommonly smart person.

However, a shrewd speaker can use his/her gift to motivate an audience to do his/her bidding. We used to call those people: "Snake Oil Salesmen." In my opinion, back in 2008, Americans bought a hell of a lot of snake oil! Now we are REALLY paying for it!

Obama has a track record, throughout his presidency, of handing off a problem, when the going gets tough, and then taking credit when the problem is solved, one way or the other. It would appear that is exactly what he has done on the debt ceiling and spending cut problem. This time, however, it seems to be backfiring.

Obama, never out of campaign mode, and finding his poll numbers dropping like a stone, has suddenly found that not being a part of the problem solving operations now underway on the debt ceiling, is scrambling to get himself before the public and offer some flowery oration about the importance of the Congress getting a bill to him that he can sign, thus solving the problem, is activating his propaganda legions in the mainstream media and taking to the airwaves, in near panic, hoping to save his chances at a second term as President. Be prepared to see a lot of that in the next few days.

I happen to agree with conservative legislators who claim there will be no default -- unless Obama wants there to be a default. From the White House's most recent moves, it appears the Obama team has finally realized the error of that line of thinking and are now, themselves, frightened that the government might, indeed, stumble into a real default and -- ultimately the American people will hold Obama responsible.

That won't do, at all, for a man who covets a second term as US President.

I expect a bill will soon be on the President's desk awaiting his signature. In all likelihood it will be a bill he will not like but will avoid, at least temporarily, a default. Will he sign it? Truthfully? I haven't a clue WHAT this President might do.

Scientists warn of 'Planet of the Apes' scenario

Action is needed now to prevent nightmarish "Planet Of The Apes" science ever turning from fiction to fact, according to a group of eminent experts.

Because they have no where to go, and will hold their noses, lean forward, and give the lever a pull (or more likely, push a button).

So I discount the ultimate importance of this report that Obama is losing his base:

With the 2012 presidential election just over 465 days away, President Obama appears to have lost crucial support from his core base of progressive voters, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday.

The Obama presidency has largely been defined by stubborn unemployment, a struggling economy, and a debt crisis that has taken the federal government to the edge of default. Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT), a lead voice on progressive matters, has openly suggested the Democratic Party should field other candidates for the 2012 presidential election to compete against President Obama in the primaries.

As I said in December 2010, when there were similar reports:

Not going to happen.

The Democrats — particularly the left-wing “base” — never will walk out on Obama.

Like the mime in the box, deep down they believe that they have no place to go.

South Vietnam's unlikely leader dies [Nguyen Cao Ky]

Asia Times ^ | 7/27/2011 | Donald Kirk

PANAMA CITY, Florida - Here in the Florida panhandle, looking over the Gulf of Mexico, ruminating on old times covering the Vietnam War with Don Tate, another correspondent from those days, we had to have a few laughs over one of the war's more colorful figures.

Could any of the cast of characters we encountered then have been a more unlikely leader of the country into which American leaders were pouring blood and treasure than Nguyen Cao Ky, the flyboy from Hanoi who was actually the prime minister of South Vietnam for two years in the mid-1960s?

"I liked him," said Tate, who was covering Vietnam for the Scripps-Howard newspapers while I was with the old Washington (DC) Star. "I liked those purple scarves. He always seemed like he wanted to win the war."

It was easy to make light of Ky for what he was, the pampered puppet of the American war machine, the opportunist who rose to power after the assassination of Ngo Dinh Diem when, really, there was no one else around. Still, when he died a few days ago at the age of 80, it was hard to find anything really bad to say about a man whose name conjured so many memories of chance meetings with an amiable person who was more a symbol of his times than an important actor.

"I only really saw him once," said Tate. "He was watching a doubles [tennis] match at the Cercle Sportif [in Saigon, now Ho Chi Minh City]. I was playing with another American against two of Vietnam's best players. He was there with other Cercle members judging whether we should be accepted as members. They were acting like they didn't know a war was going on."

Boehner Plan Faces Rebellion

Wall Street Journal ^ | 07/26/2011 | COREY BOLES And NAFTALI BENDAVID

The leader of a large group of House conservatives said Tuesday he was "confident" there weren't enough GOP lawmakers to pass a plan by Republican House Speaker John Boehner to increase the debt ceiling and reduce the deficit.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R., Ohio), who said the Boehner plan didn't cut spending enough, heads a group that includes 178 of the 240 Republican House lawmakers.

One 32-year-old roofer and former soldier from Germany, for example, sped on his boat to the island, and helped guide many young people who had tried to swim away from the massacre back safely to shore.

"I just did it on instinct," Marcel Gleffe told The Telegraph. "You don't get scared in a situation like that, you just do what it takes. I know the difference between fireworks and gunfire. I knew what it was about, and that it wasn't just nonsense."

Gleffe was camping with his parents on the mainland directly across from Utøya. The three were discussing the recent bombing in Oslo when Gleffe heard some shots and then saw a teenager swimming to shore, yelling "help," he told Der Spiegel. He immediately realized that the shooting he heard was connected to the Oslo bombing, and he jumped in a small boat his family had rented for the trip and began speeding to the island.

Gleffe says he helped at least 20 teens get to shore, throwing out life jackets and making several trips in his boat to the island and back to the mainland. Some of the fleeing teenagers were frightened to accept his help, since the accused gunman was dressed as a policemen and told his victims to come closer before he opened fire. "It was unbelievable to see how strong they were," he told Der Spiegel of the campers. At least 150 people were pulled out of the water after the massacre, and psychologists told the German paper that many of them are suffering from crushing survivors' guilt.

There's something out there ... in the night. Waiting ... watching. Below the waterline. Unseen, calm. Silent, motionless. And as we approach, our engines ... unbelievably ... not at dead slow, nor slow, or even half. Our engines are at throttle full. Blindly we speed into the void. Into the unknown.

Many (even some like me) think it possible, we have already tripped over the wire. Passed moments Archduke Ferdinand. And that there is no going back. As we race, pell-mell.

Unto Oblivion? That I know not. Nor the length of the cut, or how deep the gash. And whether we sink ... down to the sandy bottom, to a watery grave. Or remain afloat, with or without engines. Or without any remaining fuel. Or even a prop, with which to make shore. Adrift. How long this battle, how great. How many lives will perish?

This struggle against evil, against the forces of darkness shall take many forms. Comprised of many fronts. In ways heretofore unknown. In manner and method which shall yet be revealed by the transgenic, baby raping moong*d death cult. And their abettors in the Reich Ministry/Associated Press/MSNBC/CNN/CBS/ABC/L.A. Daily News. Who are ever so cheerfully doing their part, to aid and comfort the (fully lethal) fascists. D o .. n o t .. b e .. m i s t a k e n, this war ... it has already begun. In whichever fashion, in however many fields? And however many, consumed by however many bombs.

A deranged lunatic goes a killin' in Oslo, and the whole entirety of the Islamist caliphate has a collective, shuddering, spontaneous emission (yeppers, a lotta goats went to sleep lonely that night). And, if you accidentally left your plasma aglow overnight (tuned to al Jazeera). You found "right wing extremist" etched and burned ... into the bottom of the panel. MSM taking rips of the freebase too, getting (flag planting) giddy with it (there isn't a stack of bloody corpses too high). Doing their own convulsive, spasmodic floppity crack dance (on the sidewalk). Posting virtual wanted posters of Michelle Bachmann (not sure if she has an alibi, or can prove/confirm her whereabouts, for Friday). And action charts (with exit locations), of what to do, should you encounter anyone at Whole Foods ... buying tea bags.

The libturd nation, at a loss ... confused, vexed. Unable to explain why, after the messiah (with his bare hands), hath slain Osama. Anyone could possibly still fear the Mooselimbs? There are no laws against stupidity, none against idiocy (though yeah, if the libs had their way). But whence you ignore the laws of gravity? Then the time between ascent (Hope'n Change), and descent (Nov 6, 2012). Is your own mofo's.

And the time between now and open global war? ... Years? ... Nope, that interval will be counted and measured ... in mere days (be it thirty, be it sixty, be it ninety). Which should give Buraq Hussein enough time to transfer thirty billion dollars, to al Qaeda in North Africa, and two billion dollars to the Muslim Brotherhood, in Egypt [which the Iranians (Sunni or Shi'i ... it all spends), the Norks, the Chinese, or even the Russians will gladly accept].

IS something out there people. Thisaway it wends.

RONBO ADVICE TO OBAMA: We have seen this movie before and we know it ends with the death of the antagonist, so the lesson here is to resign and go away, Mr. President Psycho, before the fire of revolution burns you to ashes.

Obama the Bore

By Abraham Katsman

President Obama is going to lose his bid for re-election. Not just because of the anemic recovery, stubborn unemployment, runaway spending, staggering deficits, lack of public faith in his ability as commander-in-chief, his hostility towards Israel's government, the rise of the Tea Party, or the Republican-favoring implications of redistricting on the electoral map. Those are all factors, and the coming months will provide endless columns discussing each. (Of this I am sure, for I intend to write some of them.)

But there is a more fundamental reason he'll lose: Barack Obama, once perceived as extraordinary, now just seems extra-ordinary. He has gotten politically boring. And America does not re-elect boring presidents.

Obama isn't boring in the same conventional, square, policy-wonk manner of so many other politicians; he still acts cool, plays basketball, and parties with Hollywood's A-list. But as a president he has become boring: he is tiresome, unpersuasive, divisive, repetitive, predictable, and cynical -- importantly, the opposite of everything advertised himself to be.

Somewhere along the way, the once-soaring speeches of The Great Orator degenerated into longwinded clichés delivered in a grating, repetitive cadence. The electric smile morphed into a frequent scowl. Inspiring messages have given way to blaming everyone else for the lack of success of his policies and scolding his subjects for not "stepping up their game." His every word seems politically calculated rather than anchored by principle. He's shown little ability to electrify, motivate, persuade or unify anyone-except his political opposition. The country seems tired of him.

How un-motivating is Obama as President? He speaks to an America at war and rouses no patriotism. He addresses a military audience without so much as mentioning victory (a word to which he has a particular aversion). He takes a major policy address on troop levels in Afghanistan and ends up droning on about "green jobs." Boring. If there is a single memorable line from his multitude of speeches, please tell me; I already stopped listening --and I doubt that I am alone.

Internationally, his tenure has been demeaning. His unique contributions to American foreign policy include "Leading from behind;" embracing a gutless philosophy of American Un-exceptionalism; serial apologizing for America; and subjecting America to well-deserved lectures on economic policy by our Communist Chinese financial overlords. And it's not as if any of this has endeared America to the world; from the Thames to Tel Aviv to Taiwan to Turkey, alliances are frayed. Is this anything for voters to be excited about? What does Obama's America stand for, anyway?

Political cynicism may be expedient, but seeing it repeatedly is boring. Being in favor of tax increases during a recession, before being against them, before being for them again is boring. Advocating breathtaking spending increases as economic "stimulus" and then blaming others for the resulting ballooning deficits is boring. Constant posturing is boring. Constant excuses are boring.

What is surprising is that Obama's entire election was based on his uniquely un-boring image and ability to excite, motivate and inspire. Young. Hip. Black. Fresh. Cool. Confident. Different. Above-the-fray. And he delivered motivating speeches with a religious rhythm that enraptured his listeners.

From the fainting fans at his rallies to the panting panelists on the Nobel committee, candidate Obama's rousing rhetoric tapped into something optimistic and hopeful, capturing the attention of the world. It may have all been childishly utopian -- stopping the rise of the oceans, burnishing America's international popularity by sheer force of his personality, ushering in a post-partisan political era, -- but his magical message resonated. Obama was all promise.

But something happened since the campaign. Time passed. Reality intruded. The magic faded. The promise was broken. We got to know him.

As president, Obama is prickly and thin-skinned. He is preachy and condescending. He is self-absorbed, self-pitying, self-absolving, self-crediting, and self-aggrandizing. Watching him is more depressing than uplifting. He is exactly what he promised not to be: just like any other ordinary, boring politician.

Oh, fawning media still serve as Obama's enablers, singing his praises no matter how poorly he performs. But voters -- especially the young -- are fickle, if not always discerning. One of the hazards of being elected as a "rock star" president is that whoever is momentarily "hot" is unlikely to remain so four years later. Perhaps Obama is the Menudo President, the Britney Spears of politics. And America has outgrown its infatuation.

Presidents Ford, Carter, and George H.W. Bush have two things in common: they were dull; and they were defeated in re-election bids. And Presidents Reagan, Clinton and George W. Bush? One may argue about their policies or legacies, but they certainly weren't boring; and they were all re-elected.

In general, the more boring candidate loses; Ford, Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Bush (father), Dole, Gore, Kerry...the names alone make my eyes droop almost as fast as listening to yet another Obama Major Policy Address.

A dull, uninspiring candidate may get elected once, especially if facing an even more boring opponent -- note Carter over Ford or Bush over Dukakis. But re-election? Not in this generation.

When a messianic figure is revealed to be all too ordinary, it is impossible for even the best political consultants to restore the original image. Think of the scene in "The Wizard of Oz" when the unmasked "wizard" bellows, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" The curtain has been pulled back on Obama, and we see that he is no wizard. As a mere mortal, how can he re-create the magic spell of 2008?

It's not as if no one will vote for him. Obama still owns key constituencies: blacks, unions and, most importantly, the media. But there's a difference between getting votes, and getting out the vote: it is the difference between losing and winning. And it will be difficult to get out the vote this time around for someone as ordinary -- as boring -- as Barack Obama.

Conservative Government America’s Only Hope

Hold The House. Take back the Senate and the White House

A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

If you like what’s going on in Washington, DC these days, you’re going to love the next 16 months, or so.

What we are seeing are the differences between the two major political parties in America laid bare for all to see. The factions within each party are also coming to the fore, all with bared fangs.

Politics in America is not some kid’s game. This IS a blood sport. It is as old as the country itself.

Americans have revolted twice. Once against Great Britain. The second was the “War for Southern Independence,” commonly referred to as the “Civil War.” We didn’t LIKE either. Had we been able to settle our differences, in both cases, in the nation’s government neither war would have happened. Americans are deeply aware of that fact.

So, we fight like cats and dogs in the houses of our government with words and phrases – along, of course, with strutting and preening before the cameras and microphones of what passes for the news media in this country -- and yes, even the world press.

Understand, dear reader, we do this rather than go at each other as we did at, oh, say Manassas, Antietam, Shiloh, Gettysburg and other well known fields that ran with American blood -- simply because we could not settle our dispute in the nation’s government.

It is clear to all that an extremely great struggle is going on in Washington today. The battle over the debt ceiling and spending cuts is only a sideshow. The fight is over whether America will continue on the socialist path, which is destroying the nation, and impoverishing its people, or, will America return to its rightful place as a constitutional “representative republic” as the founders of the nation intended.

The bottom line is this: America either lives or dies as a result of the death struggle going on in Washington today. Either freedom dies – or socialism dies. They cannot co-exist. One must terminate the other. No quarter can be allowed.

For freedom to have even a chance at survival in America, we must have a conservative government.

It is clear what socialism can and will do -- and HAS already done -- to this country. There should no longer be any doubt. It must be defeated.

Conservatives need to target the US Senate in the 2012 elections. Democrats will have some 23 seats up for reelection. Conservatives must see that those seats go to conservative candidates.

At the same time, conservatives must maintain control of the US House of Representatives AND replace a goodly portion of the so-called “establishment” Republicans with rock solid conservative republicans. It is plain to see that today’s House does not have the spine it needs to buck the socialist agenda of the democrats.

And Obama MUST GO! He has been the most divisive president since Lincoln. The man is a socialist, plain and simple. He and his socialist agenda have driven America so far down the path to Third-World status that it will take us at least a generation to climb back to where we were in 2008.

Do not underestimate Obama’s chances to win in 2012. With his campaign organization, his money, his shock troops (The Labor Unions), his propaganda machine (The Mainstream Media) and every minority group in America supporting him, he will be a formidable candidate -- no matter what the polls say about his popularity.

Taking America back from the socialists will be a humongous task. But the alternative is unthinkable.

Obama’s disengagement of America from its leadership role in the world has lead to nothing but chaos. The Mediterranean states, and a goodly portion of the European states, are in various states of division and chaos. And it will only get worse until America shows the leadership the world is waiting for and counting on.

It will not come as long as Obama is in the Oval Office. In fact, the mess America, herself, is in will not be resolved as long as Obama remains President of the USA.

So. We have a three-step solution to take back America from the socialists. Replace “establishment republicans” with conservative republicans in the US House, replace 23 democrat senators with conservative senators in the US Senate – and – toss Obama and his minions out of the Oval Office and replace HIM with a conservative.

Like any plan that looks good on paper it is immensely more difficult to implement. But – it IS the solution.

Conservatives have less than a year and a half to get this done. Hadn’t we ought to be about it?

A Double Tragedy for Norway

Posted in the Tunnel Wall
As a Bible - believing Christian who places all hope of salvation in Jesus Christ and on the sufficiency of the atonement He purchased upon the cross, I utterly condemn the murders by this warped man. If his victims were innocent Muslims going about the normal business of a peaceful society, I would condemn these killings just as much.

I hope millions of Christians around the world will condemn this act of terror just as I wish Muslims by the millions would rise up against the barbarity of those who massacre in Mohammed's name. The Tunnel Dweller
Photo of shooter taken from police chopper, victims obscured.

You just KNEW this was coming, didn't you?

"Disturbed Oslo mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik was known to be a fan of Winston Churchill so the media is having a heyday.

"In their article on the massacre Reuters used the terms “right-wing” or “far-right” 25 times.

"And the far left is already linking the killer to Sarah Palin and tea party."

Plus this excellent response by Bruce Bawer, whom the murderer cites in his writings:

"Not only has it lost almost one hundred people to a senseless rampage, but legitimate criticism of Islam has been profoundly discredited by association with a murderous lunatic."
