Documentary Shows How WTC Cross Brought Hope After 9/11 Tragedy  "The New York Times reports that David Silverman, president of American Atheists, wants the cross either removed from the museum or for there to be “equal representation.”

"“They can allow every religious position to put in a symbol of equal size and stature, or they can take it all out, but they don’t get to pick and choose,” Silverman said."

Our Lord Himself declares in the Scriptures that He does not desire the worship of manmade icons or any likenesses of Himself. The cross can be one of those icons.

The real significance of the cross removal is that it vividly proclaims that America can no longer call itself a Christian nation-if it indeed ever could. We see now how all the foundations underpinning our nation's values and morals are being dismantled and the removal of the cross is but one more manifestation. The Tunnel Dweller
