Borderline criminal, it’s obvious they are trying to influence the race. Why else would they oversample Dems to levels higher than 2008?

President Barack Obama is over the magic 50 percent mark and tops Gov. Mitt Romney among likely voters by 9 to 12 percentage points in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to a Quinnipiac University/ CBS News/New York Times Swing State Poll released today.

Voters in each state see President Obama as better than Gov. Romney to handle the economy, health care, Medicare, national security, an international crisis and immigration. Romney ties or inches ahead of the president on handling the budget deficit.

Matching Obama against Romney in each of these key states – no one has won the White House since 1960 without taking at least two of them – shows:

Florida: Obama leads Romney 53 – 44 percent, compared to 49 – 46 percent August 23;

Ohio: Obama over Romney 53 – 43 percent, compared to 50 – 44 percent August 23;

Pennsylvania: Obama tops Romney 54 – 42 percent, unchanged from 53 – 42 percent August 1.

Likely voters say Obama can better handle the economy, the top issue listed by voters, 51 – 46 percent in Florida, 51 – 45 percent in Ohio and 51 – 45 percent in Pennsylvania.

ROMNEY AHEAD EIGHT POINTS IN NEW SEPTEMBER 2012 POLL

Given the state of the economy and the chaos overseas, why isn't Mitt Romney ten points ahead in the polls? Well, maybe he is, if you believe a blogger who has compiled his own poll average of "unskewed polls." The idea is to take existing polls of the presidential race and re-balance them to reflect lower turnout from Democrats and higher turnout from Republicans. The new results yield an average lead of nearly eight points for Romney. By this measure, he's winning the election running away, by about 52% to 44%.


If that sounds fanciful, pollster Jim Lee defends his results for Pennsylvania, which shows Romney and Obama in a dead heat, while everyone else gives Obama an insuperable lead. Lee focuses on precisely this issue of voter turnout.

"Our vote model for gauging the number of interviews conducted with voters of different demographic groups (things like party affiliation, racial background and age range, etc.) is a blend of turnout models from both the 2008 and 2004 presidential elections, but leans more towards 2004 VTO and is predicated on the belief that turnout this November will not be anywhere near '08 levels when 5.9 million votes were cast. 

 

"First, our ratio of interviews conducted with Republicans and Democrats in our recent polls (49D – 43R) gives Democrats a 6-point advantage based on the fact that Democrats outnumber Republicans in actual registration. However, this ratio is slightly more Republican based on both national and state polling showing that Republicans are more likely to vote than Democrats this year given high intensity among Republicans who strongly disapprove of the President's job performance. Nonetheless, this +6 Democratic advantage is only one point less Democrat than the 7-point advantage these same exit polls gave Democrats in the 2008 presidential election. Besides, simply conducting more surveys with Democratic voters (as some have suggested) doesn't necessarily translate into more votes for President Obama when you consider that Mitt Romney is winning Democratic-leaning counties in Western Pennsylvania by ten or more percentage points. Nonetheless, it is entirely appropriate to sample Republicans one or two points higher than in 2008 if you believe as we do that voter turnout this November will have little resemblance to the last presidential election. "

He concludes that "recent polls showing a double-digit lead for Obama are not believable" and that "perhaps the Phil. Inquirer poll showing Obama winning by a bigger margin than he won by four years ago is the real outlier."

Jim Geraghty backs this up with new data showing that Republicans have gained an advantage in numbers of registered voters in some swing states, and have a lower-than-usual disadvantage in others, indicating higher Republican turnout and lower Democratic turnout than in previous elections.

Finally, Jeffrey Lord reminds us what the polls looked like for Jimmy Carter back in 1980.

"In a series of nine stories in 1980 on 'Crucial States'—battleground states as they are known today—the New York Times repeatedly told readers then-President Carter was in a close and decidedly winnable race with the former California governor. And used polling data from the New York Times/CBS polls to back up its stories.... 

 

 

"All of which will doubtless serve as a reminder of just how blatantly polling data is manipulated by liberal media—used essentially as a political weapon to support the liberal of the moment, whether Jimmy Carter in 1980, Walter Mondale in 1984—or Barack Obama in 2012."

This debate is about how to predict something that is inherently unpredictable—how many voters will turn out on each side—so we won't know who was right until November 6. But it is clear that while some Democrats are crowing that their man is cruising to victory, the polls are still so tight that even a small difference in actual turnout erases President Obama's lead in the polls.

A German's View on Islam - worth reading. This is by far the best explanation of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read. His references to past history are accurate and clear. Not long, easy to understand, and well worth the read. The author of this email is Dr. Emanuel Tanya, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist.

A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism.

'Very few people were true Nazis,' he said, 'but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.'

We are told again and again by 'experts' and 'talking heads' that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.

The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the 'silent majority,' is cowed and extraneous. Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.

The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.

And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were 'peace loving'?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts--the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Lastly, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just deletes this email without sending it on, is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand. So, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on! Let us hope that thousands, world-wide, read this and think about it, and send it on - before it's too late.

MUHAMMAD BEAT UP BY PISSED OFF IRANIAN WOMAN

A number of Middle Eastern nations are known for their restrictive treatment of women. From forcing them to cover their faces to treating them unfairly in matters of law, the examples of discrimination are plentiful. However, one woman in Iran had a noteworthy — and fierce — response when faced with a cleric’s demand that she cover up: She beat him in the middle of the street.

Now, the story seems unbelievable, especially considering the fear that many women have in nations like Iran. But numerous outlets are reporting that the incident unfolded in the city of Shahmirzad, when Hojatoleslam Ali Beheshti, a cleric, was walking to a mosque.

Ali Beheshti noticed a women who was “badly covered,” so he proceeded to ask her repeatedly to fix her outfit. Perhaps he caught the woman on a bad day or maybe she was intent on making fashion statement. Either way, she instantly responded with snark.

“You, cover your eyes,” she allegedly said after the cleric’s first attempt to get her to cover up more diligently.

From there, the situation only intensified. When Ali Beheshti, again, demanded that she cover up, she then insulted him. Naturally, the cleric, feeling offended, switched his demands to focus on her insult, asking the woman not to say such words (though he didn’t explain what, exactly, she had said). That’s when the situation turned down-right interesting.

“I asked her not to insult me anymore, but she started shouting and threatening me. She pushed me and I fell to the ground on my back,” the cleric explained. “From that point on, I don’t know what happened. I was just feeling the kicks of the woman who was beating me up and insulting me.”

In the end, Ali Beheshti said the violent incident and its aftermath have collectively been solidified to form “the word day” of his life. He purportedly spent three days in the hospital following the beating.

Bloomberg has more about Iran’s restrictive clothing regulations:

Since the 1979 revolution that brought Shiite Muslim religious leaders to power, women in Iran have been required to cover their hair and body curves in public with head-scarves and loose-fitting coats, to protect religious values and “preserve society’s morals and security.”
The government condemns short, tight and colorful coats and loosely tied head-scarves, and routinely organizes police patrols to enforce the Islamic dress code. Public surveillance increases in summer when some women opt for flimsier clothing.

Despite his suffering, Ali Beheshti claims he will continue working to “command right and forbid wrong.” Interestingly, he did not file a complaint against the woman. However, the judiciary is now investigating the incident, according to the semi-official Mehr news agency. No additional details have been released of late, but it is being treated as a case of “public beating.”

1.5 Billion Bin Ladens

Amidst the graffiti on the wall outside the U.S. embassy in Cairo, one of the rioters scrawled “1.5 Billion Bin Ladens.” Last time I heard, the last thing bin Laden saw was a member of Seal Team Six just before he took a bullet to the head. That is the way a nation that has been attacked responds to the murder of nearly three thousand of its citizens.

To suggest, as the White House keeps saying, that rioting in more than twenty-five mostly Muslim nations is the result of some amateur film that no one has seen reveals an administration that thinks Americans are stupid and unaware that President Obama’s foreign policy in the Middle East is responsible for the crisis that has killed our ambassador to Libya and others. A compliant mainstream news media continues to report this fiction.

At the heart of events is the intention to create a Muslim caliphate stretching across the Middle East, Northern Africa, and into Southeast Asia. One that will stretch into Europe and, presumably, America. The aim is to establish governments in which Sharia law will replace any remnants of democracy and freedom. It is being aided and abetted by Barack Hussein Obama.

I don’t want 1.5 billion Muslims to die. I just want them to stop attacking America, the West, and each other. The likelihood is that many, if not most, Muslims find the rioters an offense to Islam, but if they said so out loud, they are just as likely to become a dead Muslim. No other faith of the many on planet Earth requires its faithful to make war on everyone that is not a Muslim.

There is no making peace with the more radical elements of Islam for whom dying as a martyr is so appealing they believe that killing other people is worth strapping on a bomb.

Jews don’t believe this. Christians don’t believe this. Hindus don’t believe this. And Buddhists don’t believe this.

The history of Islam reveals a pattern of conquest by a cult that venerates a self-proclaimed prophet.

In 612 AD, Mohammed began to preach his new “religion.” It was a patchwork of what he knew of Judaism and Christianity with a mix of local pagan faiths. Its greatest appeal was that it endorsed the pillage of caravans and then of tribes as a means to acquire wealth. It permitted men to have several wives and reduced women to chattel. If you were a malcontent forever looking for someone to hate, you were instructed to hate—and kill—all non-believers in Allah.

In 632 AD, Mohammed died. His followers launched “holy wars” to spread Islam and, in the process, created the schism between Sunnis and Shiites concerning who was Mohammed’s rightful successor. They still disagree and, as we have seen, do not hesitate to kill one another.

By 638 AD, Muslims had conquered Jerusalem and, within a few decades, controlled an empire stretching from Libya to Afghanistan, a landmass that includes modern day Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Iran.

In 673 AD, the first Muslim attack on Christian Constantinople was repulsed. Having established Islam throughout northern Africa, Muslims invaded Spain in 711 AD where they would remain for seven centuries until driven out. When they tried to go farther north in Europe, they were stopped at Poitiers, France in 732 AD.

Between 1095 and 1291, led by the Catholic Church, a series of crusades ensued. The latter ones were more successful, recapturing Jerusalem in 1099. Saladin would recapture it in 1187 AD. In 1453 AD, Constantinople fell to Ottoman armies and the Church lost its base in the Middle East. Rome would become its capitol.

Thereafter the greatest threat to Europe was the Ottomans, but in 1683 their army was decisively defeated near Vienna, ending any expansion. It would not be until World War I that the Ottoman Empire would be dismembered by Britain and France.

Muslims have long memories and still resent the loss of Spain despite their spread into India and parts of Asia. When Israel declared itself an independent nation in 1948 those memories were inflamed because Islam does not cede land it once controlled.

In the modern era, the West has mostly sought to control the Middle East through the proxies of various despots, but that has not always worked out as they wished. After invading Afghanistan the Soviet Union collapsed when they were driven out. They lost control over satellite nations in Eastern Europe. The U.S. is seen as losing the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Militant Islam is on the rise again, driven in large measure by Iran, but also funded and encouraged by Saudi Arabia despite its reliance on American military power to protect it. The present turmoil has nothing to do with a quest for democracy and freedom.

In Egypt the overthrow of Hosni Mubarack put the Muslim Brotherhood in charge and President Obama had signaled his support when he gave his apology speech in Cairo in 2009. He then supported the overthrow of Libya’s dictator.

In all likelihood, Israel will have to mount a military mission to damage Iran’s nuclear program. If it does not, it will be destroyed. After Israel, America will be next. So let’s root for Israel even if the present administration does not.

America’s problem is the present administration of Barack Hussein Obama who was elected in 2008 despite the fact that his father was a Muslim, his step-father was a Muslim, and his outreach to Muslims has proven to be a colossal failure.

America responded to the 2001 attack on 9/11 with military action in Afghanistan and Iraq. It did not pursue these wars as we once did against Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan in the last century which ended with the demand for an unconditional surrender and a long occupation.

That’s going to be hard to achieve as President Obama continues to reduce our nuclear arsenal and massive budget cuts to our military power kick in. Those who think that America can withdraw from the Muslim turmoil and aggression behind two great oceans are wrong. We could not do that in the 1940s, we could not do that in 2001, and we cannot do it now.

Don’t look for Mr. Bissonnette at any sanctioned SEAL reunions or memorial events, including those at his old unit, the low-profile Naval Special Warfare Development Group, known better as SEAL Team 6.

SECRET SERVICE REFUSES TO ARREST TRAITOR BITCH FOR ROMNEY DEATH THREAT!

A spokesman for the Secret Service said the agency is “aware” of the video published by TheBlaze that featured a Democratic National Convention delegate saying she would like to “kill” Mitt Romney.

“We are aware of it and we will conduct the appropriate follow-up,” Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie told TheBlaze Thursday.

Ogilvie said he could not talk specifically about what kind of follow-up the agency was conducting.

In TheBlaze’s video, a woman who identified herself as New York delegate Julia Rodriguez said Romney would “destroy this country” if elected president.

“He will destroy this country completely, she said. “Romney will destroy his country…if I see him I would like to kill him.”

A representative from the New York State Democratic Committee could not immediately be reached.

IT'S OFFICIAL: ISLAM IS A KILLER CULT!

Television historian Tom Holland is receiving a multitude of criticisms and threats following his in-depth investigation into Islam. After examining the faith and its early texts, he came to some fascinating — and apparently enraging — conclusions in a documentary he produced for British television. 

In a program called, “Islam: The Untold Story,” Holland claimed that there is little evidence written surrounding the life of the Prophet Muhammad — the central figure in the Islamic faith. Additionally, he noted that the Koran makes only one reference to Mecca, the religion’s holiest city. These sentiments, of course, cast doubts upon Islam and are, thus, controversial to say the least.
