What would you do
If you were asked to give up your dreams for freedom?
What would you do
If asked to make the ultimate sacrifice?

I understand the ______ building is more than 150 feet tall. At the time of my last recon I noticed easy access to the roof that would allow someone to leap to their death to the parking lot below. I'm not an expert in these matters, but if I recall from my physics classes in college at 100 feet a falling object reaches a speed of about 55 MPH. This means that the falling man would hit the pavement at a speed great enough to cause instant death. I understand that over the years since the construction of this building several persons have died by jumping from this structure.

I plan to make such a leap. I do this in memory of the several hundred victims on 9/11 who jumped off the World Trade Center as a means of avoiding burning to death, and the over 3,000 American soldiers killed fighting Islamofascism in Iraq and Afghanistan. A parallel reason is a protest against the American Left and the Democrat Party who have stabbed the Armed Forces in the back in the early stages of what is shaping up to be The Third World War.

This is an excellent time to make a final statement - a dying declaration - about an event that resulted in my life being ruined. This is my imprisonment for an attempt on the life of President Clinton in 1994. In truth I made no such attempt and I was convicted on the basis of lies told to the court by the U.S. Secret Service and an edited audiotape. I have no way of knowing the dynamics behind my conviction, but I suspect that it was done on the basis of personal advancement and political reasons on the part of certain individuals in the District Federal Court and Secret Service. In addition I would not rule out Bill or Hillary Clinton being personally involved in my case based on their well known records of revenge against their opponents.

I have no doubt the Leftist Media will spin my death as that of an insane man with few options left in life who killed himself in desperation. In fact, the objective investigator will notice no signs of depression on my part the last months of my life. I would describe myself as an idealist. I know this is a personality strange to many people who would say such a person is "unusual" or "crazy" or "a bit off." The fact of the matter is that the actions of many people that were described as heroic happened because they were idealists who chose death rather than selling out what they hold to be sacred. In my case I cannot allow myself to continue to live in a world that is largely indifferent to a neo-pagan religion called Islam that in league with Leftist appeasement and multiculturalism, and seems on the fast track to destroy the United States and Western Civilization.

What I did is not suicide. It is the action of a patriot and idealist who loves God and Country, and who makes a very public statement as a warning of a New Dark Age that looks America straight in the face armed with a hideous ideology that makes the German Nazis or Russian Communists look like bleeding heart liberals. I hope my fellow Countrymen will rally once gain in the defense of liberty no matter how long and hard the struggle.

In this life or death struggle between civilizations it would be a critical mistake to limit our attentions to the plight of isolated individuals whom Islamic militants have threatened with death: the sort of mistake that leads to a "law-enforcement" attitude toward Islam-powered violence. The Qur'an commands Muslims to impose themselves on the whole world, by any means expedient. Muhammad's recorded history and sayings reinforce that command. Islamic militants believe that God and His Prophet have commanded them to erect a totalitarian, world-girdling Islamic state. If the last few years have taught us anything, it's that there are enough adequately motivated Muslims in any of the countries of Europe to reduce those countries to chaos or shari'a, as long as Islamic militancy is regarded as a law-enforcement issue...which means, as long as Islam is welcomed in the nations of the West.

This cannot be a law-enforcement issue. It must become a war issue.

Muslims as individuals might well be overwhelmingly inclined toward peace and amicable relations with non-Muslims, though, given the sanctification by Islam of taqiyya and kitman, one can never be perfectly sure. But Islam the ideology is inherently and openly at war with any nation that refuses it. Barring extraordinary good fortune such as America had with the Fort Dix Six, militant Islam's "active agents" cannot reliably be seined from their concealment until they've struck. To allow them to roam among us yet safeguard ourselves from them proactively, we would have to erect a totalitarianism that would make Oceania in 1984 look like a kindergarten class picnic.

We must accept that we're on a war footing, and do what a people at war must do to survive: expel our putative enemies from among us and confine them where they can do us no further harm. Europe's policy has been the reverse. India's policy has been inanition. America's policy defies elucidation. This cannot continue if we wish to survive as free men.

Quarantine or genocide. There are no other options.

I think you people are reading too much into this Ronbo Saga.

My take is that the Ronbo character was simply a literary alter ego like Winston Smith was Orwell’s literary alter ego.

Writers do this all the time.

Clearly the Socrates of Plato is not the real Socates but a literary creation of Plato.

The bigger question was missed by everyone: Perhaps Ronbo’s creator was not Ronald Barbour, but in fact someone else? I mean after all we do have the picture of the dead hiker Ronald Barbour for the Ronbo-Ronald-Barbour. I would think this could indicate that the Ronbo-Ronald-Barbour was dead before the first article was published.

Ronbo, stop and shake yourself, man! This is crazy stuff. You are only going to hurt yourself and the people who care about you...not the bad guys. And believe me, it leaves a horrible tinge over the whole memory of a person when they do this.
It's time to stop and force this aside; to try to explore other options...perhaps move from where you are...make some new friends.
Please reconsider.
Write to me if you feel like it.

Suicide may be a solution if there is no other alternative given to a man or a woman, but when confronted with a fight a man's death must be useful. OK I will die, it's a fact, but in the process I will take as much life that I can from my enemy . Suicide as a protest means nothing, it's a gift given to your enemy and they will celebrate it. Die fighting as your ancestor have done it in the past, with a gun in each hands and a knife between your teeth, stand your ground!...

Please don't hurt yourself or kill yourself. I hope you were just speaking metaphorically.

You don't have to blog anymore, or even comment; but you can always comeback if you want to, and you can still do lots by just talking to regular folk and gently waking them up to the realities of the Jihad. Give out from Citizen Warrior to your friends.

You are a great patriot, thank you for all your great work and efforts; and your kind words. I will keep reading more of your work. You have been a real inspiration to me and many others.

We CAN win this war of words, we CAN wake enough people up, we MUST, I believe we can eventually breed out the Jihad. So when Muslims have out bred us all, the wackos will be too weak to push the peaceful Muslims around.

Go with God, enjoy your freedom, please stay safe and have fun! Cya around.

Aurora: It’s a beautiful tribute for Ronbo. It is very hard to believe that he actually proceeded with his plans. Ronbo was deeply troubled by personal events in his life, and with the impact Islam is having upon western democracies - in particular his beloved U.S. God bless him and may he rest in peace.

Thank you for the praise, however in this case it belongs to someone else. My research continually came up empty handed. I wouldn’t have known of Ronbo’s death if I hadn’t been notified by a friend on the internet.

Col. Hogan - People are trying to find out what happened to Ronbo. I know that someone at another blog plans on calling the Coroner in Cleveland on Monday to see if they can find out any further information. If I come across any more information I will let everyone know.

MK & Col. Hogan - You are correct - Ronbo will be missed by many.

Terrible news.
I had a bad feeling when Ronbo said he was going on patrol but thought he was disillusioned with the Bush administration and just needed a break.
Ronbo’s posts were always patriotic and inspiring.
We’ll miss you Ronbo. Rest in peace, soldier.

Aurora: I just want to say that you have very nice and decent people posting comments on your blog. The majority of us agree with Just Another Richard and don’t think that what Ronbo has done was right, but on some level we do understand Ronbo’s motives.

I cannot say the same about comments made at another blog which shall remain nameless. Many of the comments are horrid and without compassion.

Ronbo did everything within his power to warn the world about the threat of Islam. He was an old soldier who fought for his country. He loved the U.S. and everything it was supposed to stand for - in particular freedom. It was impossible for Ronbo to understand the treachery that is occurring throughout the west at the hands of misguided or corrupt politicians.

Ronbo did what he could to prevent the world from being filled with darkness. While his final act is not something that most of us agree with or condone, in an old soldier’s mind he was left with no other recourse - as the powers that be continue to be deaf to the warnings made by him and countless others.

By no means do I intend to praise his act, because I can’t begin to imagine the pain it has caused his family. However, misguided though his act may be in the minds of others - in his mind he was left with no recourse. We can’t begin to imagine the turmoil he was in that led to such a tragedy. May G-d be with him.

FWIW, I’m sorry for him and his family that he is gone. Almost everyone is missed, by someone.

On the other hand, I thought suicide was a cardinal sin. You Christians can be mighty forgiving when you like the sinner.

Secondly, his death is the logical conclusion of the hate-filled, paranoid, free-marketeer nihilism that passes for ‘faith’ among you clowns. As nice a guy as he may have been, 99.9% of the population will think him a deluded retard, and for good reason. Yet you nihilists still aid and abet this hate-obsessed modus operandi. How many deaths will it take?

Just Another Richard Says:

“How many deaths will it take”…I don’t know THR, but you guys on the left are the world class experts on cleaning up all that human detritus which doesn’t comport with your greater compassion, so why don’t you give us the benefit of all that superior wisdom and experience, go on, tells us…how many?

Flanders Fields Says:
February 26th, 2008 at 12:41 am
May Ronbo have the intended success from his act, by which he intended to inspire us and others to think and to act, but which left us sad. May he have peace with God.

May more TRH’s become frightened, as well they should, by expressions of our steadfast determination to overthrow the Marxist and other enemies of our Western countries. Those who cooperate to bring two totalitarian systems into our lands of freedom will find that we turn our cheeks only for our neighbors, but not for the enemies of God and our freedom.

We appreciate the Secularist Prayer which THR left. It is a sign of the faith of those with whom we contend, and is an inspiration for the truly undeluded.

What THR is really saying is that he and others are willing to tolerate and promote the evil results of vile individuals and systems. This Rambo was not willing to do and neither are we. We reject Ranbo’s choice, but we reject all things which THR represents.

Aurora, thanks for posting this, many of us have been worried about Ronbo. If this was Ronbo, then RIP my friend , you will be missed. God bless you. I am very sorry for everyone’s loss of this great man.

But, it does seem suspicious. One, Ronbo’s blog profile says he is 59, not 46 like in the obituary. And fitting with that, he says in an early posting in 12/05 that he served in the US Army in Germany in 74-77. He would have had to have been 13-16 at the time if he is/was 46 today.

Also, someone jumping off a building in Cleveland or Orlando and killing himself would have made the papers somewhere.

For now, I will believe that our Ronbo is still physically with us.

Either way, he will always live on in the hearts and minds of his friends, family and fans.

Btw, here’s the direct link to the GoV post on this.

#24 THR. To break one’s spirit/soul is murder the Bible says. You can’t judge this man of the horrors he has suffered.

GOD let man have a free spirit to decide what is good or evil. Some tyrants can break down the person mentally to a point where reasoning no longer exists.

THR, lets say you were in a concentration camp and you knew the Germans were going to gas you, you know your going to die anyway, some people don’t play out the final hours of their lives. They are beaten down so bad their mind has already left their body.

Tell us what you would do if you had 24 hours left on earth and the German’s were about to gas you.
Put yourself in someone else’s position or maybe in 24 hours its not the Germans its the Jihadists who will behead you.

Tell us what you would do in your last 24 hours. We are all ears. You seem like your so brave. What is your answer?

THR -It was very predictable that you would be the exception and make nasty comments.

It is presumptuous to think that you know everyone’s religion – you don’t.

It’s egotistical to think you have all the answers – no one does.

Until you have walked a mile in a person’s shoes you cannot judge.

It is inappropriate to speak ill of the dead. Of course, you would be the exception. Everyone else has the good sense and decency to conduct themselves appropriately. Your vile words are proof that you lack common sense, decency and manners.

Your comments are crude – which is typically found among followers of the left. You are a crass group, and there is isn’t much to like about you because you respect absolutely nothing.

More on this: From his 6/10/05 post, The Florida Today article by Billy Cox about him from 3/5/00 “The Real Story of Clinton’s Assassin” - Cox wrote that “Last December…Escorted by four federal suits, 52 year old Ronald Barbour spent an all expense paid evening in a downtown Holiday Inn, with supper and breakfast billed to Uncle Sam. Talk about VIP privacy – Barbour’s hosts blocked off the entire fifth floor, just for him.”

Also: “Ronald Gene Barbour’s rendezvous with infamy has a number of potential origins. Maybe it started when he was a kid, growing up in Huntington, W.Va., reading books such as THE DECLINE AND FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE, THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH, THE FIRST CIRCLE, FAHRENHEIT 451 and NINETEEN EIGHTY-FOUR. Maybe it started with his Cold War under cover intelligence duties in Berlin.

Let’s keep hope alive.

I also called the Central Care Mission in Orlando where he had worked and the man who answered the phone had not heard from him, or any news about him, in a few years. He said “he no longer works here”. When I asked if he had heard any news of his possible death as I was a blogging friend trying to chase down a potential rumor he said “He (Ron Barbour) just disappeared” a while ago.

Even if his parents had moved from W.Virginia to Cleveland, it probably would have stated, and using his full name as well: “Ronald Gene Barbour of Orlando, FL…”

Let’s hope Ronbo is really just “Sergeant Ronbo Going On Patrol”.

God bless him wherever he is.

“To my readers who look for a good blog I would point them in the direction of Aurora who publishes THE MIDNIGHT SUN in Sydney, Australia. I consider the American-Australian connection important for many reasons, the most important in my humble opinion being the fact that of all the countries in the world only Australia has committed her armed forces in every major conflict fought by the United States for nearly 100 years.”

He was one of the first people to comment on my blog and to link to me. Looking at the evidence, I’m hopeful that he is still with us in this world.

I had no idea until a few minutes ago. I linked to his stuff every once in a while, but just figured he needed a break when he quit blogging.

His family and you guys are in my prayers.

I can understand his deep despair for the prospects of western civilization. We seem to never react until our very existence is threatened, and if the Islamists were intelligent, we would already be crippled.
Despair comes from having lost hope that something can be done, and as long as you have life, there is hope. My way od dealing with the despair I feel over our prospects is to get involved in politics on the local level, to work for getting people moving through the political system from the ground up.
It may take several years, but…it is the best option (in my opinion) outside continuing to sound the alarm that the barbarians are approaching.

I’ll miss you, Ronbo.

Having gotten to know Ronbo over the last few years (due to his frequent posts on The Happy Extremist) I can't say that this surprises me. Right or wrong, Ronbo would set a goal and do his damnest to meet it. Unfortunately he created a misguided goal to end his life and declare killing himself a "tribute" to the poor souls who were murdered by the muslim assassins during 9-11. As an occasional correspondent of Ronbo's, and going by what I know of the man, all I can say is this: If you really did kill yourself, I hope your were'nt in your right mind so God can forgive you for destroying the greatest gift we're given - the gift of life. If you were in your right mind, shame on you, especially for likening a selfish act with the involuntary deaths of those folks at 9-11. And if you're still in the land of the living...get help. Seriously. Even pretending to have the intent to kill yourself as a "tribute" is pathetic. If you're in your right mind, you know better. Where there's life, there's hope.

The rest of you can slam me for saying this, but there is no excuse for anyone in their right mind to kill themselves. Whether Ronbo was in his right mind or not...only our maker knows that. For his souls sake, I pray that he won't be held responsible for his final act, if it really happened.
